Consumers are interested in how animals are treated, the environmental impacts of production, food safety concerns, and the social implications of various production methods.
Good news for farmers, the research supports by adopting best management practices within intensive farming operations it can drive profitability and ensure sustainability within New Zealand’s dairy sector. While many farmers already operate best management practices, the changing landscape means we need to find ways to provide the evidence to assure all the stakeholders with an interest in our food and fibre production.
